When you go into the gallery section, simply type in your search criteria. Try to be as specific as you can to narrow down the results. There are approximately 3,000 images in the database with more being added as soon as they are submitted and processed.

There are five main categories to help you find what you are looking for.

1. Date, by year, so far the earliest pictures are from 1972 to the present day.

2. Category - such as school, church, portrait, parks, etc.

3. Town or city, which covers most of the North West.

4. Place, using specific road names.

5. Description, using events, people, buildings, public houses, etc.
