The Heskeths of Rufford were an important family with a fascinating history. They were friends with the powerful Derby family, serving as Receiver (accountant) in the Derby household at Lathom and were in the Derby retinue at the Court of Henry VIII. Who were they? Where did they come from? Where did they get their immense wealth? Margaret will answer these and more questions.
A Historical Walk around Hurst Grange Park, Penwortham

22 May 2024 ~ Meet at Café in the park, 1.00pm (parking in cemetery car park, Hill Road)
Numbers are limited, so booking a place at the final meeting/AGM on May 8 is advised. The walk is free to members who renew their membership for the 2034-25 season by May 30th. Otherwise a fee of £5 is required.
Meet at the cafe in Hurst Grange Park at 13.00. There is parking in the Cemetery car park at the end of Hill Road, near the Valley Road entrance to the park.
